PHIC TPA Recognition
One of the Philippine Tripartite Accreditation for Health Facilities Inc. (PTAHF) 2023 Strategic Objectives is “To be the Third Party Accreditor (TPA) of PHIC”.
Finally, Thanks to God, that strategic objective was achieved!
Last April 29, 2024 in Philhealth 29th Anniversary Celebration entitled “Philhealth Forward”, PTAHF was recognized as one of the two Third Party Accreditor for Philhealth’s mechanism of granting incentives to health facilities with good performance in achieving quality health care standards.
The Certificate of Recognition was awarded by Philhealth President and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Emmanuel R. Ledesma, Jr. and Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, Atty. Eli Dino D. Santos. The award was received by PTAHF Chairman, Dr. Bernardino A. Vicente and President, Dr. Maria Linda G. Buhat.
Prior to the awarding, PTAHF Management Team led by PTAHF Chairman, Dr. Bernardino A. Vicente and Philhealth Accreditation Team led by Philhealth Accreditation Vice President, Dr. Francisco Soria, met last April 22, 2024 to discuss and clarify Terms of Reference.

PTAHF 2020 YEAR END REPORT
In spite of the pandemic, PTAHF still manages to achieve its 2020 goals!
PTAHF awarded on December 4, 2020 its 2nd Accredited Hospital and 1st Government Hospital, National Children’s Hospital (NCH) after they have complied to the PTAHF Quality Standards 1st Edition last November 11, 2020.
Also, PTAHF awarded on December 18, 2020 its 3rd Accredited Hospital, Tondo Medical Center (TMC) after they have complied to the PTAHF Quality Standards 1st Edition last December 8, 2020.
The PTAHF Quality Standards and Survey Process Guide 1st Edition version 8 was then revised and implemented on September 14, 2020.
Virtual is the new normal in 2020! PTAHF Board of Directors had approved in its Executive Committee (EXCOM) Meeting held on June 3, 2020 that all briefings, trainings and surveys will be conducted virtually.

PTAHF plans to do the following in 2021:
- Continue to conduct PTAHF accreditation awareness in partnership with Department of Tourism - Tourism Development Planning and Market Development-Medical Travel and Wellness Tourism headed by Undersecretary Roberto P. Alabado III
- Continue to conduct PTAHF Accreditation Briefings and e-PIA Ooze Camp to potential applicants
- Continue to conduct PTAHF Assessor Certification Program
- Continue to partner with Philippine Medical Travel and Wellness Tourism Program
PTAHF ACCREDITED 3rd HOSPITAL IMPLEMENTING THE REVISED PTAHF QUALITY STANDARDS AND SURVEY PROCESS GUIDE 1ST EDITION
PTAHF ACCREDITED 3rd HOSPITAL IMPLEMENTING THE REVISED PTAHF QUALITY STANDARDS AND SURVEY PROCESS GUIDE 1ST EDITION
After we have accredited our 1st Hospital, Far Eastern University – Nicanor Reyes Medical Foundation (FEU-NRMF) last January 14, 2019, our other 2 pilot hospitals had their Focused Survey conducted in 2020 after they have submitted their respective Strategic Action Plans (SAPs) after the re-assessment survey held in 2019.
After more than one (1) year and six (6) months (due to the pandemic, the Focused Survey was re-scheduled) after their re-assessment last March 18 - 20, 2019, Tondo Medical Center (TMC) undergo the Virtual Focused Survey by PTAHF last November 5 - 6, 2020 to re-evaluate their submitted SAPs and compliance in the PTAHF Quality Standards 1st Edition. The PTAHF Survey Team is as follows:
After the Assessor’s deliberation and Scoring Team review of the organization compliance based on the Assessor’s scores and findings, the Final Survey Findings Report and the Accreditation Decision was given to TMC in December 8, 2020.
PTAHF awarded its 3rd Accredited Hospital last December 18, 2020, Tondo Medical Center (TMC), after they have complied to the PTAHF Quality Standards 1st Edition last December 8, 2020.
